"O our God, listen to the prayer of your servant and to his pleas for mercy"
— Daniel 9:17
Prayer groups form the very heart of Bethel Mar Thoma Syrian Church. Each group gathers regularly in homes and community spaces across New Delhi — interceding for one another, for the parish, and for the world.
Bethel Parish itself was born in 1991 from four prayer groups functioning under Jerusalem Mar Thoma Church — Saket, Pushpa Vihar, Malviya Nagar, and Sheikh Sarai. Today the parish is organised into seven prayer groups that carry forward that same tradition of faith, fellowship, and fervent prayer across Delhi-NCR.
Each group gathers in homes to pray, share, and encourage one another — a reminder that prayer is always holy ground.
Every member of our parish belongs to a prayer group. These gatherings are more than meetings — they are sacred spaces where burdens are shared, faith is strengthened, and God is encountered afresh.
