About Sevika Sanghom

The Mar Thoma Suvisesha Sevika Sanghom — the women's wing of the Mar Thoma Church — was established during the Maramon Convention in 1919 under the guidance of Abraham Mar Thoma Suffragan Metropolitan.

In the ministry of our Lord, women played a pivotal role. Some of the most devoted followers and closest companions of Jesus were women — they were the last to leave the cross and the very first to witness His resurrection. The Sevika Sanghom carries forward this spirit of devoted, faithful service.

Rooted firmly in the principle of serving the underprivileged and needy, the Sangham has been a tireless presence in fundraising for charitable causes and actively supporting the church in its spiritual endeavours.
